Career Overview
Dmitry Broshkov is a seasoned digital technology professional and software engineer with over 10 years of experience in development, leadership, and research. He has served as a tech lead and CTO on projects founded by Johnson & Johnson, Oxford University, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and many other healthcare and digital innovative startups.
He is the fractional CTO of several innovative digital mental health and healthcare products. Currently, Dmitry is working on a cloud solution product that helps organisations automate their infrastructure, reduce maintenance costs, and streamline cloud services. This includes automating most aspects of cloud infrastructure, such as the lifecycle of ML models for organisations utilising AI capabilities.
Understanding the importance and challenges of digital product infrastructure, Dmitry is developing a solution to help organisations establish highly secure, scalable, and compliant cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructures. This solution will automate most processes related to maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, reduce operational costs, speed up the deployment process, and automate the machine learning lifecycle. This will enable organisations to reinvest resources for further growth, positively impacting the GDP of the United Kingdom.
Early Life and Career
Dmitry grew up in Odessa, Ukraine, and comes from a family involved in social and medical fields, his journey has been driven by a passion for leveraging technology for social benefit. As a software engineer, he is dedicated to applying cutting-edge technologies, technical skills, and knowledge to make a significant impact in social and healthcare areas.
One of Dmitry's first significant achievements in a leading role was as the tech lead software engineer for the STEMI product. He orchestrated the transformation of the STEMI platform, a vital link between Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and hospital teams, facilitating rapid access to critical patient information. The main challenge was to significantly improve code stability, ensuring the app for paramedics worked without interruptions and with high availability. This was crucial for the most time-sensitive, life-threatening cases of stroke, myocardial infarction, and trauma patients. He achieved this by employing best practices in the development process and code. As a result, STEMI solutions were distributed across hospitals in Europe, earning multiple innovation awards.
Career Growth
Dmitry's contributions to humanitarian efforts are further exemplified by his role as Project Technology Lead for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). At MSF, he was instrumental in digitising processes to enhance the efficiency and impact of telehealth services. His work involved designing and developing a digital platform that facilitates real-time collaboration and information sharing among field teams, significantly improving the delivery of medical care in challenging environments.
As a technology expert specialising in healthcare innovation, Dmitry designed and implemented a transformative web application for Johnson & Johnson, focused on enhancing the early detection and treatment of tuberculosis. By creating an efficient, reliable, and secure technical architecture, this solution effectively increases the early detection and treatment of tuberculosis. Utilising AI capabilities, the application facilitates screening, diagnosis, treatment, and referral processes, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare outcomes in this field.
