Andrene Lewis-Longwe is the managing director of Break Barriers, a domiciliary care company based in Nottingham.

Career Overview

Andrene is a health and social care sector leader with a demonstrated history of working in the industry over many years as a care assistant and care support worker as well as a director. Following nine years in post as assistant manager at Nottingham Independent Venture after she had ascended to the role following further study, Andrene was appointed managing director at Break Barriers in 2010 and has overseen the running of the provider since.

In January 2022, Andrene appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on her career to date.

Education

Andrene has completed an OCR Level 4 course in Leadership and Management of Care Services.
