Chris Lloyd currently has a lead role in three different organisations.Since 2016, he has been a volunteer director and chair of Vic Studios in Wrexham, North Wales, a non-profit dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children and young people through music. Social services, youth justice, special schools, charities and families refer children to Vic Studios to develop their confidence, self-expression, skills and prospects. The organisation also provides music lessons to children who cannot access them at school and nurtures young talent.

He is chair of London-based education management company Competence Assurance Solutions, a business he founded in 1997 which provides independent quality assurance services to safety and business critical training programmes. It helps government and corporate clients reduce risks and costs in the design and delivery of training and assessment leading to the certificates and licences people need to carry out their work.

He is a partner at Arete: Complete Talent Management, another business he founded in 2013 which operates out of Shanghai, Ningbo and London, providing bespoke advice and services to Chinese students wishing to pursue higher education and professional development opportunities in UK, Europe and North America.

1998-2017, Chris was a founder and director of a global infrastructure engineering consultancy and training business. He has an international reputation for his writings and presentations on asset management, competence and training.

In November 2020, Lloyd appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership, its role during the Covid 19 crisis and the impact it has had on his career to date.
