Under Courtenay’s leadership, the company’s product portfolio grew to cover Adobe ACE, Facebook blueprint and CompTIA resources, before he sold his stake in the business in 2019 to focus on Learna.

Career Overview
After graduating from the University of South Wales in 2001 with First Class Honours in Business Information Management, Courtenay established MAWR Ltd, a web application development company which specialised in risk assessment management software.
After leaving the business he had founded, Courtenay was later appointed CTO at OnExamination, a business which was later acquired and integrated into the BMJ Group in 2007. Following the acquisition, Courtenay spent three years as CIO and deputy managing director, overseeing 60 per cent growth during his stint with the company.
In 2009, Courtenay founded iPassExam.com, which rapidly became the leading preparation resource for exam candidates looking to sit the Google Partners exam. Under Courtenay’s leadership, the company’s product portfolio grew to cover Adobe ACE, Facebook blueprint and CompTIA resources, before he sold his stake in the business in 2019 to focus on Learna.
Learna, which Courtenay had become involved with for the first time in 2016 as chief operating officer, is the company he runs today as CEO. In the role, he oversees business strategy, organisational operations and staffing, sales and marketing, and technical infrastructure. Courtenay’s spell as CEO has already seen 600 per cent growth in the number of programs offered, company turnover and staff levels.
In January 2022, Courtenay appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
