Janice Stobbs is the headteacher of Toft Hill Primary School, a village primary located in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
Career Overview
Janice took over as head of the school in the early 2010s, after having spent some time working at the local authority as a national strategies consultant.
Her experience in the consultant role had given her a taste of what went into school improvement, and this proved helpful in the school’s future success. Just one year after her arrival, in February 2014, Toft Hill was handed “outstanding” school status by Ofsted. Today, Janice continues to lead a dedicated team of staff who are willing to push for continuous improvement.
