Before moving over to consultancy and coaching, Mark cut his teeth in business working in the construction, retail and music industries. He started his career as a quantity surveyor, management consultant and contracts manager, before starting up a childcare provider with his wife in 1995. 

In 2002, Mark set-up his first training provider in the form of Platinum Training, specialised in childcare, customer service and management training. He remained involved with the business for eight years before venturing into the music industry with record company Cream Record Corp.

In 2011, Mark took up a directorship at Fable Label, a rock inspired clothier and merch supplier, which holds the official license for Laney Amplification, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Bettie Page gear. He retains this position today.

The year 2015 saw Mark establish MBKB, which he heads up today. After having a successful time of it starting up and managing his own successful string of companies, Mark uses MBKB to deliver business growth, strategic planning and leadership seminars, and has become an inspiring leadership presenter and business consultant in his own right.

In May 2022, Mark appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
